Team-Up for Glory! 👾
You can team up with up to 5 people — gather your code-crackers, tech enthusiasts, or that one friend who can't resist a challenge. But here's the twist: we've got participant tracks to choose from! If you're just starting out or new to hacking, we've got a track tailored just for you - the beginner track!. However, if you're already packing some serious IT skills or hacking chops, jump into the advanced track. The tasks? Same for everyone. The prizes? A little extra sweet for those who take the expert route. You get to pick your path, but the organizers might bump you up if they think you're ready for the big leagues.
When & Where 📅
Mark your calendars for November 1st to November 3rd. The CTF kicks off with a two guest lectures... The competition itself starts at 17:00 sharp on the 1st, and from then on, it's a rollercoaster of cyber action. And hey, get ready for this: on November 3rd, we're hosting an in-person showdown at Jelgavas iela 3, Rīga. That's right, folks, some challenges that can only be solved in-person! Come prove your prowess on the ground.
The Magic of Prizes 🧙♂️
Oh, you better believe we've got a treasure trove of loot waiting for the champions of Mārtiņš CTF! But here's the catch — we're keeping that prize list locked down tighter than a zero-day exploit. We can tell you about one prize, though: digital legend status as a participant or winner of Mārtiņa-CTF 2024. Forget Heartbleed, Shellshock, or Log4Shell — this is the vulnerability in your calendar you don't wanna patch. Get ready to etch your name into hacker history!
Kickoff Lecture: Tools, Tricks, and Techniques for Cyber Ninjas 📢
Before the Mārtiņš CTF kicks off, participants will have the chance to attend an exclusive lecture led by Daniels Heincis, a cybersecurity expert with over 3 years of professional experience. As the educational project lead at one of Latvia's oldest specialized cybersecurity companies — Possible Security he’s passionate about making cybersecurity education both engaging and fun. In this session, he’ll dive into the key methods and tools every hacker should have in their toolkit. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this lecture will leave you geared up to tackle the challenges with confidence and a hacker’s mindset.
Are you ready to embark on a journey where puzzles are your passport, teamwork is your sword, and the spirit of CTF courses through your veins? Join us, and let's make this year's Mārtiņš CTF the stuff of legends!
Other important things!
TASK SUBMISSION
As you prepare for the event, you might be wondering about the process for submitting flags.
All the possible tasks, their description, and submission forms are displayed on the CTFd platform (we made our own instance, open source projects are AMAZING!). It's also the platform we will be judging you all on >:D
Create your team profile with your team's credentials and GO HACK!
Task and Flag submission platform: hyperlink will be announced in Discord server.
COMMUNICATION
We use Discord as our primary communication platform. It's where all participants or at least one from each team are expected to be found.
